Special Events

Our Mission

As an integral part of the University Advancement Team, the Office of Special Events and Donor Programs effectively develops and manages university wide special events, and provides consultative support and selective services for department based events. Special Events enhances goodwill, develops new friends, optimizes attendance and strategically expands the hallmark of hospitality to the university and the community we serve.

Who We Are

The Office of Special Events and Donor Programs supervises and directs the planning and coordination of selected special events to advance the overall excellence of the university. The office also serves as a liaison on special events, collaborating with campus partners with regard to protocol, facilities, logistics, and other needs as requested.

Event Development

Assist by offering creative ideas to meet goals, objectives and outcomes while staying within budget parameters.

Event Planning

Provide event timelines and budget, coordinate event locations; liaise with campus partners; manage guest lists; and assist with invitation design, printing and mailings.

Event Management and Logistics

Track and manage guest attendance in Raiser’s Edge; oversee seating plans; and arrange staging, sound, lighting and event design.

Post-Event

Tally the final budget, and write both the post-event evaluation and event summary report.

Management

Update the University Advancement master events calendar.
