The Cal State Northridge Writing Project

2011-2012 Content Area Literacy Study Team : No matter what your content area--math, social studies, science, ESL, foreign language, art, music, or English--your students need to to read, write, and speak effectively in order to be successful in your subject. In this study team, you will work with other teachers to explore the links between teaching, literacy, and content area learning. Our goal is to improve student learning by connecting pedagogical practice with disciplinary/content area knowledge.

Here is what one recent participant said: "I love this program. I just finished CAST, and it was great. I got many ideas and met some amazing teachers in all content areas. It was really worth the investment of my time. I received many great articles and resources for all content areas."

Enrollment Limited to 15! If you are selected, you will earn a stipend of $100 for attending all four sessions. In addition, you are eligible for one (optional) CEU at a cost of $90. All materials are provided at no cost to participants.
