Marketing majors are allowed to use MKT498C (Virtual Internship) or BUS491CS (Small Business Consulting) to fulfill their experiential requirement.
For more information on virtual internships, please consult the Career Educational Professional Department (CEPD) at www.csun.edu/NazarianCEPD or email them at email@example.com
If you are interested in taking BUS491CS, please contact the Marketing Department's email at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a permission number
Graduating seniors should visit the CEPD Internship Program site ASAP and register on Handshake to attend an Internship Orientation Workshop. All of your internship questions will be answered there. Due to COVID-19, the vast majority, if not all, of the internships will be virtual. The possibility of any face-to-face or hybrid internships is being discussed in administration, but for now it is best to assume only physical internships will be permitted. Please also obtain your internship using only virtual methods, i.e. do not participate in any sort of face-to-face interview or on-site visit that might put you at risk. The sooner you complete your workshop, the more success you are likely to have in securing your internship in a timely manner.
Students may apply to take BUS 491CS Small Business Consulting to meet their experiential option. However, enrollment in BUS 491CS is limited, and the class is expected to fill quickly. Priority enrollment for BUS 491CS Spring 2021 will go to students whose DPR indicates that they have a graduation date of Spring 2021. Normally a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and in business courses is required. If you are interested in being considered for this course, please send an application to email@example.com with a subject line of “Application to BUS 491CS Spring 2021” and two attachments:
- A PDF of your current DPR
- A single PDF with:
- page one being a paragraph of 200 words or less indicating why you want to be in the class and what special skills and abilities you bring to the class, and
- page two being your current resume.
