Badge Project

Badge workshops will be offered both via Zoom (Tuesday and Thursday) and in-person (Wednesday).

  • If you choose the virtual option, you will be provided with instructions on how to access the Zoom workshop after you have RSVP-ed for a workshop.

  • If you choose the in-person option, the workshops will be held at Sierra Hall 320 (SH 320).

Overview

The Badge Project is a two-year series of helpful workshops on various topics, such as intro to research careers, attending national conferences, and applying for summer research opportunities. The project incorporates transfer receptive culture into the workshops to better prepare STEM transfer students for graduate school, research careers, or professional careers.

Workshop 1: Research Careers 101

Description

Research Careers 101 invites you to explore different career options in your field of study. These careers range from starter to end goal careers. We hope you learn which career is best for you!

Description

Academic Organization assists you in organizing a realistic study plan. A realistic plan incorporates your academic requires and personal responsibilities to identify the best study times for your schedule. We hope you learn academic organization and study tips!

Description

Email Etiquette invites you to break away from the fear of "scary" professors and learn how to write professional emails to professor whether it's asking for a letter of recommendation or joining their research lab.
