COE Self-Care Activities Week One

September 12, 2016

Dear College of Education Staff and Faculty,

This is the first week of COE staff and faculty self-care in our fall 2016 semester, and this month we will engage in a holistic health theme. We begin with a presentation on mindfulness and health benefits on Tuesday, September 13th from 12-1 in Ed 1214 with Diane Gehart. Diane is a published author and expert on how the practice of mindfulness can improve our physical health and reduce stress. Come hear how you can benefit from mindfulness and enjoy an actual practice at this presentation. Mindfulness meditation will continue starting Tuesday, Sept. 20th and every Tuesday this semester from 2-2:30 in CTL Conference Room, so come take advantage of this regular holistic health practice lead by a number of different practitioners. Later this month, we will have another great presentation on acupuncture, acupressure, and traditional Asian health practices. Please watch for weekly emails on upcoming self-care activities, and keep checking the self-care website activities schedule.
