COE Self-Care Activities Week Eight

March 27, 2017

Dear Staff and Faculty,

We are heading into the final stretch of the academic year and there is so much to do. Why not take a break and enjoy a mindful meditation session? Dan Siegel from UCLA and other academics have found through their research that mindfulness improves physical health, problem solving and attending skills, and the ability to be present, communicate, and connect with others. So why not give it a try? Come join us this Tuesday, 2-2:30 PM in the CTL conference room. And just a reminder that you can practice mindful meditation on your own with a great free phone app called "insight timer" available for iPhone, Android, and iPad. There are lots of online resources for mindfulness meditation, too, such as  www.dianegehart.com and  http://www.drshaunashapiro.com/meditations/

Keep checking our self-care website for information and events.
