- Description

This session will discuss the importance of making various types of communication accessible to allow individuals who require accessible information to be provided in whichever format makes it easy for them to ingest. The key is to promote inclusivity, focusing on the education arena.
Often, people who require accessible PDFs, accessible videos, a way to communicate live with another person, or to be able to ingest information provided to them are faced with barriers that prevent them from doing so. This happens in all aspects of life, but when it occurs in the education world, it can greatly impact the individual’s career journey.
With thousands of documents used to help students navigate their learning path and with learning material that extends beyond documents, it is not only crucial but essential to make these communications accessible by whatever means are necessary. A strategic approach is needed to comply with not only doing the right thing but also meeting regulatory requirements in the US and worldwide to make information accessible.
Some solutions make this all possible, and we will discuss the best way to implement these and how these can make these communications easy and accessible to all.
