Terra Masiel, Sr. Product Manager with Books and Retail Accessibility, explains the unique considerations made when thinking about the accessibility of reading experiences and how Kindle features are designed to address the varied needs of users with disabilities as they engage with books. She will touch on features designed for customers who are blind, have low vision, or are second language learners. There will be a particular focus on those with learning disabilities or cognitive challenges and how Kindle can support their reading journeys. For example, if someone struggles with focus and concentration, what can we do to ease the burden of required reading? How are we addressing the needs of customers with light sensitivities? How do we support customers with dyslexia or who have ADHD? Terra will discuss how taking an intentional focus on the needs of customers with disabilities has created a better, more personalized reading experience for all.
