Students with visual impairments looking to engage in college and work need a range of tools to access materials efficiently. Perkins School for the Blind has developed several tools to help students (and their educators) identify skill to teach in the K-12 system, to support students to meet their post secondary goals, including assistive technology. The Perkins College Readiness Checklist, Technology Competencies and Promising Practices for Disability Resource Centers can help you plan, develop students' executive functioning, and help students to gain understanding about their goals and the skills they need to meet their high school and postsecondary goals, including further education, training and employment.
