This session focuses on understanding the parts and pieces of an accessible PDF and the platform in which it is read. We will cover the user interface for Acrobat Pro DC in a way that clearly explains what tools are available to creators, evaluators and remediators. We will discuss the importance of the Content Panel, the Tags Tree and the Read Order panel and what each one has to offer and why you should review them all. We will discuss basic tag structure and what to look out for when reviewing documents for accessibility. We will learn several key tools for fixing common errors. Attendees will leave with a firm understanding of the PDF environment and what specifically makes one document accessible and another not.
