CViConnect utilizes the iPad’s forward-facing camera to capture 64 unique points along the human face. The innovative technology provides educational teams with valuable data points regarding the learner’s functional vision. This data is crucial for IEP teams supporting learners with CVI, if teams know what to do with it. Throughout this breakout session, participants will review examples of the data recorded and reported within CViConnect PRO.
First, we will review the numbers provided to educational teams within their intervention list. This chart provides team members with the date, timestamp, Activity title, teacher comments, duration of Activity session, total time looking, touches, and number of looks. We will guide participants to be able to answer the following questions about the learner’s data samples.
Team members can also click on a specific session to take a closer look at how the student performed during that Activity. The ‘Detail’ tab provides team members with length of the longest look, time not looking, and more. When looking at the ‘Detail’ session data, we will look at the implications of the data.
Next, we will move into the ‘Session Events timeline.’ The data from the ‘Detail’ tab is used to create a bar graph of the session. During the session we will now review how this data can answer questions.
To conclude, participants will be asked to share additional opportunities to utilize this data.
