Lactation Education Practicum - This grant provides CSUN FCS graduate students in the nutrition concentration with the unique opportunity to develop and practice lactation competencies while simultaneously providing greatly needed education and support to low-income pregnant women in the local community. Students who are currently enrolled in or have successfully completed HSCI 496LA: Lactation Education may apply to participate in the lactation education practicum experience. Students who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply. Applications for the Spring practicum experience are due October 24th 2014.
Conference Travel Stipend - Each year, funds from this grant will provide support for two FCS graduate students to attend national conferences selected by the funding organization ( NIFA/USDA).
