Why?

The purpose of the map below is to provide community stakeholders with an instant snapshot of outreach activity conducted in the region by CSUN faculty, students and staff. Additional map layers, may be added to provide interested parties, researchers and grant writers with a quick snapshot of community needs.

Click on a point marker on the map, and a "popup" window with additional information will appear with providing the viewer with the name(s) of contact persons, a short narrative of the service work and contact information.

Google Map

The map below displays the information in the familar Google Map format. Other formats are available (see below).

Don't see your service or outreach activity on the map?

Please take a few moments to enter your information into the
CSUN Service and Outreach Inventory Survey.

If you have recently entered your information, it may take several hours for the data to process and then appear on the map. If you entered your data a day or more ago and it's still not appearing, then please contact Steve Graves in the Department of Geography for help. There's a good chance that the system is not recognizing the location information you entered.

DB Carto Map

Click the link below to see an alternate cartographic rendering of the data created using DB Carto, an alternative to Google Maps. It is not dynamically linked to the inventory database, and therefore does not update instantaeously. Updates are performed manually to this map every six months.
