This lab is in beta, testing form.

This lab is designed to introduce students in a lower division general education course to the geographic information systems software most commonly used by geographers in the United States; and to introduce students to two basic spatial analytic or spatial statistical measures.

Steps.

1. Open a new browser window by clicking on the link below, which will open the virtual computing lab or VCL.

2. Type in the same user name and password you use to logon to the university portal.

(you may want to watch the instructions in an instructional video displaying the way to launch the VCL and program from Google )

3. Click on the folder icon marked "ArcGIS"

4. Click on the program icon marked "ArcMap" , wait for the program to launch.
