Welcome to Professor Dow's Website!
Dr. James Dow received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 1987 and joined the Finance Department at CSUN in 2002. Before coming to CSUN, he worked as an economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve in Washington, D.C. His research interests are in individual financial management and financial institutions. His teaching interests include investments, general finance and the management of financial institutions.

The Sequence in Personal Financial Planning is a set of courses approved by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to prepare students to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.
Personal Financial Planners work with individuals to help them meet their financial objectives. It is a fast-growing and rewarding field.
