CSUN President-Select Introduces Herself in Virtual Conversation

CSUN’s sixth president-select, Erika D. Beck, introduced herself to the university community with a virtual conversation with alumnus and CNBC anchor-at-large Bill Griffeth ’80 (Journalism), Hon.D. ’17. With former Vice President Joe Biden the president-elect of the United States, U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris will make history as the first female vice president. CSUN Honors String Quartet Joins The Soraya’s Linda Ronstadt Tribute Airing Nov. 18 on KCET

CSUN student musicians, including the CSUN Honors String Quartet, joined Latin music stars Aida Cuevas, La Marisoul, Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar and special guests David Hidalgo from Los Lobos and Sarah Watkins in celebrating trailblazing singer Linda Ronstadt in a televised special filmed at The Soraya, airing Nov. 18 on KCET. The show will later air on PBS SoCal and be available for streaming.

Theatre Department Presents Streaming Performances

The Department of Theatre is providing streaming access to pre-recorded student performances of the plays “Lorca in a Green Dress” (Nov. 19-22), “Uncle Vanya” (Nov. 23-25) and “Pippin” (Dec. 4-6). Streaming will be free, but donations to the department’s fundraising campaign are appreciated.

The last day of formal instruction is Dec. 8. Final exams week begins Dec. 9. Confirm final exam times, locations (if any) and format with your professors before your last class meeting.

If you are a regular CSUN student, starting Dec. 9, there is no appointment needed to enroll in spring classes. Repeating courses previously taken at CSUN is permitted, but check with your academic advisor first.
