CSUN Celebrates Black History Month Virtually

CSUN will celebrate Black History Month with numerous events that highlight the accomplishments and contributions of the Black community. The theme is “Celebrating Black Excellence: Resiliency and Creativity in the Digital Space.” On Feb. 26, renowned intellectual Cornel West of Harvard University will join the CSUN community for a virtual event.

EOP Valera Resilient Scholars Program Changes Lives, Opens Doors for Former Foster Youth

Alumnus and notary pioneer Milt Valera and his wife, Debbie, recently committed more than $11 million for programs across the campus, including an endowment and scholarship for the EOP Valera Resilient Scholars Program, which provides a safety net for college students who grew up in the foster care system.

March 2 is the annual priority filing deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act application. To be considered for all available financial aid funds in the upcoming fall 2021-spring 2022 academic year, you must apply by March 2.

Nazarian College Bull Ring New Venture Competition Kicks Off Feb. 10

The application is now open to win $10,000 in the 2021 Nazarian College Bull Ring New Venture Competition (Virtual Edition). The workshop series kicks off next week and the application deadline is March 7. All current CSUN students are welcome to apply. Join the info session on Feb. 10 to learn more about the competition, receive a crash course in the startup process, and meet like-minded students.
