Matadors Haunt These Halloween Movies and Shows

Matadors in the entertainment industry have cooked up plenty of hair-raising movies and shows in their cauldrons over the years. This spooky season is the perfect time to check them out. ‘Grown-ish’ Star Yara Shahidi Discusses How to Be of Service, in AS
Big Lecture

Yara Shahidi, who stars as Zoey Johnson on the hit sitcoms “Grown-ish” and “Black-ish,” has been recognized by TIME Magazine and Forbes for her influence and activism. She recently joined CSUN students on Zoom for the Associated Students Big Lecture, encouraging her fellow young adults to be of service to their communities.

CSUN Student Anthony Lawson Honored by CSU Board of Trustees

Anthony Lawson, a junior psychology major, received one of the California State University’s top student honors, as he was recognized by the CSU Board of Trustees as the Chancellor Emeritus Charles B. and Catherine Reed Scholar. Lawson, whose older brother was killed while away at college, now works for justice and to help others who have gone through trauma.
