On a Roll: New CSUN Grads Celebrate at Car-mencement

In a first for the university, car parades rolled through campus celebrating CSUN’s newest graduates. Cars decked out with balloons, signs, photos and words of pride honked as they were greeted by faculty, staff and student leaders along their route. Outstanding Graduating Students Earn Special Recognition

CSUN’s 2021 outstanding graduating students include Jennifer Anderson and Daniel Bustos (pictured), named this year’s Wolfson Scholars, the top award given to a graduating senior or seniors; Natasha Feldman, recipient of the Nathan O. Freedman Memorial Award for Outstanding Graduate Student; and Desiree Cuadra, Aditi Dwivedi, Denise Nguyen and Angelle Thomas, each named an Outstanding Graduating Senior.

CSUN Ranked Highly for Inclusivity by Campus Pride

CSUN recently received 4.5 out of 5 stars on the Campus Pride Index. Campus Pride is a national nonprofit organization that works to create safer, more LGBTQ-friendly colleges and universities. The index was calculated by measuring how inclusive a college campus is to LGBTQ+ students.

The SRC Reopens for Students

The Student Recreation Center of the University Student Union reopened to CSUN students on June 1. Students will now have access to indoor and outdoor areas like the Total Training Zone, Plaza Pool, Turf Field and more. Mandatory online health screenings are required, and face coverings must be worn at all times except when swimming or showering.

Register for fall classes and wait-list for closed classes, beginning with your enrollment appointment date and time and thereafter. To find your appointment, log into myNorthridge Portal and locate My Checklist.

Summer 2021 Classes

Sessions 1 and 2 classes began June 1, and online registration continues through June 11. New courses and sections may have been added, so check Class Search. Session 3 registration continues, and classes begin July 14.
