The Pride Center supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and questioning students, faculty and staff through programming and educational outreach to improve the campus climate for LGBTQ individuals as well as advocate for the respect and safety of all members of the campus community.

Pride Center at CSUN Joins in Observance of LGBT Community Center Awareness Day

The Pride Center at California State University, Northridge received a letter from President Barack Obama recognizing LGBT community centers across the nation for their role in expanding opportunity and increasing support of LGBT Americans. The Pride Center, located in the University Student Union, is also joining in the observance of the sixth annual, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community Center Awareness Day on Monday, Sept. 15.

“LGBTQ Awareness Training” Helps to Create an Inclusive Campus Climate

Pride Center at the University Student Union (USU) presents “LGBTQ Awareness Training.” All CSUN students, faculty and staff are invited to learn more about the issues the LGBTQ community faces and how to become an ally. Participants will gain an understanding on how to help create an inclusive campus climate for people who identify or question their identity within the LGBTQ community.
