The Pride Center supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and questioning students, faculty and staff through programming and educational outreach to improve the campus climate for LGBTQ individuals as well as advocate for the respect and safety of all members of the campus community.

“Proud to Be...” Event at USU to Celebrate National Coming Out Day

The Pride Center at the University Student Union is inviting members of the LGBTQ community, their allies and all CSUN students to celebrate National Coming Out Day at the “Proud to Be...” event on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Salon at the USU. Students can enjoy light refreshments, learn more about LGBTQ history and enjoy a fun “Proud to Be...” variety show.

The Pride Center at California State University, Northridge received a letter from President Barack Obama recognizing LGBT community centers across the nation for their role in expanding opportunity and increasing support of LGBT Americans. The Pride Center, located in the University Student Union, is also joining in the observance of the sixth annual, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community Center Awareness Day on Monday, Sept. 15.
