Dr. Loraine Lundquist is a physicist and climate activist. Her research has ranged from solar magnetic activity to science education. Prior to coming to CSUN, she worked as a researcher at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and served as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow for the National Research Council. She has received certificates in green building techniques and permaculture design, and as a college student she built a solar-powered car that she raced across the country. She currently spends most of her time teaching and promoting carbon-fee-and-dividend legislation.
