Communicating with a deaf or hard-of-hearing child in a language that they can easily understand and use is essential for helping them reach their cognitive potential.

This class is designed to provide families with the confidence and skills necessary to successfully communicate with their deaf or hard-of-hearing child. It teaches the basics of American Sign Language in a friendly, conversational atmosphere. The supportive environment is facilitated by Dr. Tomas Garcia in three languages- Spanish, English, and American Sign Language.

The goal of the class is to help families understand the importance of accessible language and easy communication with their child, providing the building blocks for greater cognitive and academic growth.
