During this orientation, the project assistant will go over all the requirements for TTT and the process of getting the scholarship. You will also sign a contract with TTT and take surveys. |

There will be workshops provided to help you prepare for each of the required components for TTT exit portfolio. Please note that this TTT exit portfolio is different than the one that you will turn into the credential program. Although these workshops are optional, you should make sure to attend any and all workshops necessary to help you complete your Portfolio. **Dates and times of workshops will be emailed to you. Please be sure to check your email regularly. **

Each year in August, TTT offers a joint annual retreat with California Association for Asian Pacific American Education (CAAPAE). It is a mini one-day conference on a Saturday usually offered on CSUN campus. Although you don't pay for the registration fee, you must fill out a registration form to the project office. |

During this time make sure you video-tape yourself student teaching so that you can prepare a 20-minute movie on a quicktime format for a part of the exit portfolio. You may checkout a camcorder along with a tripod to film yourself. Also, during your student teaching, plan to present a PowerPoint lesson to your class. During this exit interview, you will present your all the necessary document for the TTT exit portfolio and show your student teaching movie. You will fill out the exit interview form and take some surveys. Please allow yourself to spend about an hour for the exit interview. |

Once you have finished the credential coursework, you are required to teach with LAUSD for at least three years. During the first year, you and your mentor teacher(s) are required to fill out the questionnaires. You are required to seek for a mentor teacher from the school where you are teaching. He/she must be willing to provide you with guidance and feedbacks that you need to improve your teaching skills throughout the semester and fill out some paper at the end of the each semester. Once you obtain a mentor teacher, please provide the mentor teachers information by filling out the following mentor teacher's information form and submitting it to the TTT project so that your mentor teacher can receive an honorarium.
