About TTT

The TTT Scholarship Award provides students with full scholarship reimbursement of tuition and textbook expenses, etc., provided that students maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA during the duration of their entire credential coursework.

TTT Students are required to teach within LAUSD for a minimum of three years after obtaining their teaching credentials. Students are not restricted to a certain area within LAUSD, but may choose to work for any school therein.

The Transition To Teaching Scholarship Award is funded by the U.S. Department of Education for a five-yera term, begun in October, 2002 and ending in September 2007. Students pursuing credential coursework during this time may qualify for scholarship.

A major requirement for selected TTT Scholarship Award recipients is completion of a Student Teaching Portfolio during his/her last semester of credential cousework. There is also an Annual One-Day Retreat for all TTT students in August, and other workshops.
