Institute for Sustainability 2020

**Covid-19 Updates**

The Institute for Sustainability is carefully following the news and official CSUN announcements regarding the spread of COVID-19. As you may already know, CSUN will transition to virtual and alternate modalities of learning following spring break, beginning on Monday, March 23, and continuing through April 19. Out of an abundance of caution, the Institute of Sustainability has decided to cancel the garden volunteer hours until further notice. If you have signed up to volunteer during the time period between March 16 through April 19th, you will receive a notice of cancellation. Any additional changes to campus operations will be updated on CSUN’s COVID-19 website.

Who We Are

Founded in 2008, the Institute for Sustainability works with stakeholders across campus to integrate sustainability into all aspects of the university from operations and infrastructure to outreach, education, and research.  The Institute serves all the colleges of the university, working to increase interdisciplinary and cross-functional communication, education, and research on sustainability.
