Leaders of the LA march met at Self Help Graphics and Art in Boyle Heights on Thursday. There, they traded stories about how they were personally affected, and committed, to the movement for against gun violence. Organizer Fernando Lopez said that he was brought on-board by area protest group March And Rally Los Angeles, but that he was searching for a way to contribute long before then. A student at California State University, Northridge, Lopez says that he doesn’t believe his younger sister should live in fear of gun violence.
