English alumnus publishes on F. Scott Fitzgerald

January 28, 2010

Richard Buller, a B.A. graduate from CSUN’s English Honors Program, recently informed the department that Limelight Editions/Amadeus Press published his book A Beautiful Fairy Tale: the Life of Actress Lois Moran in 2005. An actress during the silent movie era, Moran was the inspiration for characters in various of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s short stories and for the character Rosemary in Tender is the Night. Ruth Prigozy, Executive Director of the F. Scott Fitzgerald Society, calls the biography “indispensable to our knowledge and understanding of F. Scott Fitzgerald.” In addition to this notable accomplishment, Buller also had the lead article, “F. Scott Fitzgerald, Lois Moran, and the Mystery of Mariposa Street,” published in a 2005 issue of the F. Scott Fitzgerald Journal.
