Exploring Afro-dignidad in Puerto Rican School Textbooks

We will be hosting a year lecture series that looks at Black Latinos and the idea of Afro Latinidad. Over the 2023-2024 academic year we will have a series of events that feature Afro Latino scholars and performances. The series will start with a presentation on Afro Latinos and Education coordinated in collaboration with Isar P. Godreau and Mariluz Franco, scholars and educators in the Center for Interdisciplinary research at the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey. I hope you can join us for all or some of the events.
