During the English Master’s Degree Hooding Ceremony, students will be individually recognized, and Professor Jackie Stallcup (Chair of the Department of English), Kent Baxter (Graduate Advisor for the Department of English), or a faculty member of the student's choosing will place the MA hood over the head of the student, signifying their completion of the English MA program. After the ceremony, all of the graduates, faculty participants, and friends/family will proceed across campus to Jerome Richfield Hall for the English Graduation Reception and Student Award Ceremony. The English MA Hooding Ceremony allows faculty, friends, and family to honor individual student achievement in an intimate setting.
