HHD welcomed back all students with a Block Party event on September 11th in the Jacaranda Hall Breezeway. New students got to learn about about all the academic programs in HHD and meet Dean Webb and Associate Dean Tamalis.
Faculty and staff brought information and encouragement and we also had representatives from several student-service areas of campus such as the Career Center, Student Health Center, Disability Resources Educational Support, Learning Resource Center, Campus Police, and HHD's own Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics.
In all, over 450 students came to the party, gathered information, made new friends and reconnected with old ones, enjoyed hotdogs, tofu-dogs and snacks with us, played games or took the photo op on the big CSUN Matadors bouncy-couch. And we reached nearly 7,500 people via Snapchat. This semester, HHD has over 6,780 students.
