CSUN Awarded $60,000 from Hollywood

While entertainment industry legends Stan Lee and Dustin Hoffman looked on, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) last week presented California State University, Northridge $65,000 to support the university's students. -- Community Connection

McCullough takes over as FHSU head track and field coach

Additionally, McCullough has named Ben Santos as assistant track and field coach. Santos served the last two years as a graduate assistant for the track and field program, primarily working with the sprinters and hurdlers. Santos is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, where he reached the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships once as a member of the 4x100m relay team. He earned a master’s degree from Fort Hays State University in 2016. -- Hays Post - KS

Lacombe also played football at Crespi and Moorpark College. His mother, Michelle, a former track and field star at Agoura High and Cal State Northridge, wouldn’t allow her son to play football before high school, so he spent his youth playing basketball. -- Thousand Oaks Acorn

Alum Wayne Ronald Lxutzow has passed away

Wayne was an Air Force veteran, California State University, Northridge, graduate and Bell System retiree. He lived for music – playing piano for church, singing in the Sacramento Symphony Chorus and participating in musical performances. He was the owner of Twelve Tone Piano Service, an active member of the Piano Technicians Guild and an accordionist for the Freilachmakers Klezmer String Band. Wayne reveled in the connections made through music and faith. -- Calaveras Enterprise
