The Association for Operations Management, known as APICS, is a worldwide professional organization of over 40,000 members. It offers several professional certification programs. The local San Fernando Valley Chapter holds professional development meetings, normally on the second Thursday of each month at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills.

APICS Student Case Study Competition
Congratulations go to the 2011 CSUN team which came in second place (out of nine teams) at the Southwestern US competition held in San Diego, CA on February 11 and 12. This team consists of Alexandria Deisler, Brenda Hunt, Celina Montero, and Yan Wen.
The 2010 CSUN team came in second place at the Southwestern US competition held in Phoenix, Arizona. The team consisted of Eric Bair, Sergei Belokonnyi, Jinyo Chou, Sandra Magana, Nurdogan Mesut, and Roneal Prasad.
The 2009 team from CSUN (Eric Bair, Kaloyan Borisov, Christa Elias, Roger Grato, and David Roman) won first place in the undergraduate division of the APICS Southwestern region. They were able to go to the International APICS meeting in Toronto, Canada.
