While the Pentagon and the corporate press blame the "gulf war syndrome" on Saddam Hussein, Bill Mesler presents evidence in a recent issue of The Nation which suggests that the real culprits lie much closer to home: American depleted uranium bombs, exploded during the gulf war largely as an experiment. This may be the most dastardly incident of "friendly fire" since Agent Orange.
