A kneeling figure at left, representing Britain (with bow and arrow behind her), being raised up by Pope Julius, dressed in tiara and cope.
The Pope is accompanied by Cardinal Reginald Pole, the Papal Legate to England, the Emperor Charles V (Queen Mary's first-cousin), King Philip
II of Spain (Charles' son and Mary's husband), and Queen Mary herself (1553-1558).
