The table below contains several lesson plan for teachers in the Southern California region. Of course, these ideas can be adapted to other regions of the state and elsewhere.
Though each lesson is linked to the California state content standards and the nature of the connection is made clear in the lesson plan, the skill set utilized to meet the content standard is paramount. We believe that by focusing on "how to do" geography, history and economics is far more important that "what to know" about these disciplines. Classrooms will be more entertaining and students will learn more.
