The tutoring services provided by the Office of Academic Services for Student-Athletes are intended to supplement tutorial services on campus. Student-athletes are able to work one-on-one with a tutor either by appointment during the day, or on a walk-in basis at night.
Walk-in tutoring starts the 3rd week of every semester, and is available Monday-Thursday 5pm-9pm. Here you can see the Night Supervisor, letting him/her know what subject you need tutoring for and they will lead you to the available tutors. Please see the tutoring schedule below for a look at all subjects tutored, the tutors who are working each night, and the specific times they work.
If you are interested in getting a tutor for a specific subject, please come by the office in BH 240 and let us know what your needs are. Please be prepared to leave us your contact information, course information, and availability. We will then contact tutor(s) for that subject and someone will reach out to about finding a mutual day/time to try and meet.
Each semester, students interested in becoming tutors must submit an application each semester, attached with a resume. Applications will be avialble prior to the end of a semester, for the next semester's positions. If you would like to apply, please come by the office in BH 240 and pick up the application and ask any questions you may have. After submission of all information, the screening and interview process will follow. Please be aware that this process does not always happen as quickly as some may like, and due to budget information, we may not know how many tutors we may hire each year. So please check back if you not heard anything but also please be patient.
