Writing Center Consultants
Our consultants are part time English faculty and graduate students enrolled in the Master’s
in English program. They can help students with academic, professional and personal writing: reports, research papers, business letters, resumes, etc., as well as help students develop effective strategies for time management, reading, notetaking, and test taking. An appointment is necessary. Some same day walk-ins may be available depending on appointment cancellations. Writing Center Services
Eng 097/098/155 Writing Lab Peer Tutors
The tutors are undergraduate and graduate students from all University disciplines. They
are available to help students enrolled in 097, 098, or 155 classes in Asian American Studies, Chicana/o Studies, English or Pan African Studies, as well as to help students enrolled in University 100. In addition to helping students with their writing process, tutors can help students develop effective study strategies. The Lab operates on a walk-in and appointment basis. The Writing Lab
