
Victoriya Vakhotina was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the U.S. with her family when she was a small child. She studied Journalism and History at Santa Monica College and transferred to CSUN in Fall 2010. She is currently interning at Valley Trauma Center and assisting in program evaluation. She is hoping to graduate with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in History by the end of Spring 2013. She is interested in prejudice and discrimination and finding out the effect they have on people who identify as LGBTQ. In the future, she would like to try her hand at teaching as well as conduct research at a four year university. Her goal in life is to help understand how to better mental health in all people through research.
