Faculty Collective-Erica Wohldmann

Erica Wohldmann
Erica Wohldmann is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and a Faculty Associate for the Institute for Sustainability.  She studies how learning and memory influence decision-making, specifically with respect to food choices.  For example, she asks questions about how point-of-purchase information, media, and various social contexts influence what people choose to eat.  In addition, Erica is interested in understanding how evolution and biology influence food choices, and is currently studying how our interactions with the natural environment impact those decisions.  Students in her lab have the opportunity to collect and analyze data, present at professional conferences, and become involved in food advocacy in California and beyond.
