Geographic Consultant, Dr. Regan Mass

    Regan M. Maas, PhD is Assistant Professor of Geography at California State University Northridge. Dr. Maas received her PhD in Geography at UCLA, holds an MA in Geography/GIS from California State University Northridge, and has BS degrees in Psychology and Biology from Iowa State University and the University of Iowa, respectively. Dr. Maas has over 13 years of experience working in the geospatial industry and teaching geographic information systems (GIS). Her specific research area is focused within Minority Health Disparities (specifically Hispanic populations), emphasizing Spatial Demography, Urban Neighborhood Dynamics, and GIS applications. Her most recent project is entitled, "Neighborhood Dynamics and Health Outcomes for Hispanic Communities in Los Angeles: Evidence of Change using the Los Angeles Family and Neighborhood Survey Waves 1 and 2."
