A key component to our program is to assist parents in creating a stronger attachment and a more sensitive and empathic attunement with their child, resulting in increased security in the parent-child relationship.

Welcome from the Director

Clinical Director, Dr. Dee Shepherd-Look

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Parent Child Interaction Program. The mission of our clinic is to assist parents in translating their love, compassion and expectations for their children into effective parenting skills. Our team believes that every parent can become a competent, caring parent. The only significant prerequisite is the desire to succeed along with the willingness to invest time and energy in the parent child relationship. Our approach is based on established principles of human development and empirically validated methods of behavior change. In working with parents and children, we stress the uniqueness of each individual and each parent child relationship, the complex nature of the parent child relationship and the multiple determinants of problem behavior. Thank you for visiting our website!
