Q. What are the requirements to qualify for Priority Registration?

A. Students who have a CSUN GPA of 3.3 or higher AND have a taken a GE Honors course within the last three semesters will receive priority registration. For example, to receive priority registration for Fall 2017, you must have a CSUN GPA of 3.3 or higher as of the end of Fall 2016, and be enrolled in a GE Honors class in Spring 2017 or have taken a GE Honors class in Fall 2016 or Spring 2016.

Students who have a CSUN GPA of 3.3 or higher as of the end of Fall 2016 and who attended three GE Honors sponsored events or GE-Honors approved events in Fall 2016 will also receive priority registration.

Q. I haven't been able to take a class in the last three semesters. How do I get priority registration back?

A. If you attend three events in a given semester, either sponsored by GE Honors or approved by GE Honors, they will count as a class for the purposes of priority registration only. There is a lag-time of one semester, however. For example, if you attend three events in F16 and have a 3.3 CSUN GPA at the end of Spring 17, you will receive priority registration in Fall 17. Events appear on the GE Honors webpage and on the Moodle page calendar. To receive credit, sign the sign-in sheet at GE Honors-sponsored events; submit a 1-2 page, double-spaced summary within a week of the events to Dr. Wightman for GE Honors-approved events.
