This documentary tells the dramatic story of a political dynasty whose ethical ideals and public service made its men leaders of world and domestic affairs for decades.  Henry Morgenthau, Sr., served as U.S. Ambassador to Turkey during the years of the Armenian Genocide.  His son, Henry Morgenthau, Jr., a member of FDR’s cabinet, engineered the New Deal and led the effort to save Hungarian Jews during World War II.  His son, Robert M. Morgenthau, served as Federal District Attorney in New York during the momentous 1960s – 1980s.  Photos, video footage, and interviews with noted public figures make this film a vivid and insightful journey through 20th century history.
