Location:Harmonia - free public screening
"Harmonia" is the biblical story of Sarah, Abraham, and Hagar set in contemporary Jerusalem with its mixed Jewish and Arab population. Abraham is the conductor of the Jerusalem orchestra, but the drama moves forward from the bond between the musicians Sarah and Hagar, who become mothers to Abraham's sons. The film uses classical music and biblical texts to communicate the feelings and personalities of the characters and to portray a metaphoric and multi-generational clash of cultures. Nominated for five Israeli Academy Awards, "Harmonia" is in Hebrew and Arabic with English subtitles.
