A community engagement course with a service-learning component

• Learn about the history of the Asian Pacific American (APA) progressive social movements and their role in establishing community-based organizations
• Acquire professional development skills so that you can be placed with a local APA organization for service-learning project
• Apply your Asian American Studies/Cross-cultural Studies training in community-based setting, so that you can develop a life-long interest in community service and social justice work
