CSUN BikeFest 2024! Save the Date

BikeFest 2024 3rd Annual

Please join us for the 3rd Annual CSUN BikeFest event on Sunday, November 3, 2024! Most events kick off at 10:00AM, but come early (8:30AM) for the Road Group Ride with Serious Cycling. We'll have a 35 mile ride for experienced riders and a 20 mile no-drop ride for novice riders. If you do not have a bike, that's OK, bring your skateboard, scooter, mobility device or just your feet. All are welcome to walk and roll with us! All abilities welcome. Get more information and see schedule of events.

Poll Everywhere is a tool designed to engage your students with various polling activities such as word cloud, questions, and Q&A. Students can respond on their computer, iPad or mobile phone and the instructor can link the activities to Canvas grading to give students credit for their participation.

This workshop will cover:

  • How to get started with Poll Everywhere 
  • How activities such as word cloud work 
  • How to create these activities

AI Prompt Engineering Essentials

This hands-on workshop focuses on Prompt Engineering for Generative AI, equipping participants with the essential skills to craft effective prompts from AI models like ChatGPT. Through collaborative exercises, faculty will gain practical experience in generating AI prompts tailored to their disciplines.

  • The CARE System: Introduction to the Context, Action, Results, Example framework for effective prompt creation.
  • Hands-On Exercises: Practical activities using ChatGPT to create lesson plans, assignments, and active learning activities.
