Announcements:

• The final exam will take place on Friday, Dec. 14th, from2.00 to 4.00 pm. Calculators are not allowed in this exam, but you can bring 2 pages (i.e., two sides of a 11 x 8.5 in sheet of paper) of notes. The exam will cover all topics listed in the syllabus.
  

• The third midterm exam will take place on Thursday, Dec. 6th, during class. Calculators are not allowed in this exam, but you can bring 3 pages (i.e., a total of three sides out of two 11 x 8.5 in pieces of paper) of notes. The exam will cover chapters 5 and 6 of the textbook.
  

• The second midterm exam will take place on Thursday, Nov. 1st, during class. Calculators are not allowed in this exam, but you can bring one page (i.e., two sides of a 11 x 8.5 in piece of paper) of notes. The exam will cover sections 3.6 -- 3.9, 4.1 -- 4.5, and 4.7 -- 4.9 of the textbook.
  

• Math tutoring at CSUN. The university offers math tutoring to students in several math courses (math 150A among them). This is a service that you can benefit from and that I encourage you to use. If you want to find out more about it, the best you can do is stop by the tutoring center and ask. These are their times and locations:
  

  • Math Tutoring Center, SH 274: Mon - Thurs 10 - 5.30, Fri 10 - 3, and Sat 11 - 2

  • Computer Lab, SH 272: Mon, Wed and Thurs 10 - 5.30, Tue and Fri 10 - 3, and Sat 11 - 2
