Ghassan "Gus" H. Elias earned both his B.S. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and his M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management from CSUN. He is a Professor of Engineering in the Department of Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management (MSEM) at CSUN's College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS). Also, he was appointed in the Spring of 2005 as the Director of the Online Graduate Program.
Additionally, he taught courses with the Department of Civil Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Professor Elias consults on Management of Technological Innovation, Risk Analysis, Forecasting & Decision-making, Facility Planning, Six-Sigma & Lean Manufacturing, Quality Assurance & Control, Productivity & Flow Analysis, Statistics, Project Management, Engineering Economics, Supply Chain Management & Logistics, Production & Material Control, Manufacturing Processes, Procurement & Inventory Management, Industrial Safety Measures (Intended for: General/Ordinary Locations, Hazardous Areas & Potentially Explosive Atmospheres), Standards & Regulations & Specifications, and Product Safety Certifications (Non-Incendive & Intrinsic Safety Circuits, Flame & Explosion-Proof Enclosures).
Professor Elias is an associate member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), a commissioned Notary Public in the State of California and is fluent in both Arabic and English.
He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, cooking authentic foods & BBQ's, automotive & mechanical & electrical repairs, home remodeling & yard work, construction projects, touring & cruising motorcycles, exposure to different cultures, arts and classical music.
Professor Elias is a proud recipient of CSUN's prestigious Volunteer's Service Award in 2005.
