Larry Ford Collection
A major teaching and research archive documenting American and world landscapes through the work of geographer Larry Ford.
California State University, Northridge
A digital archive of photographic images documenting the built environment, vernacular landscapes, and cultural geography of the United States and beyond.
Currently, public access to the collections is limited in digital form. Tens of thousands of slides have been digitized, catalogged, tagged, geotagged, captioned, and processed, but sharing publiclyl in an organized, easily accessible, searchable format has proven challenging given a variety of technological, bugetary, legal and institutional constraints.
Still, many photos are regularly uploaded and shared via social media platforms, and through the free photo service Google Photos. Use the links below to see the collections, as they are shared via these non-university sharing services.
