Record 11,000 Earning Degrees in 2016

Approximately 11,120 graduating students, a university record, are invited to walk across a stage in front of CSUN’s Delmar T. Oviatt Library to the cheers of family members and friends as CSUN celebrates its 2016 commencement in less than two weeks.

With 12 senior designers and seven pattern-making students showcasing their work, and more than 60 models walking the runway, the 37th annual CSUN TRENDS fashion show provided several creative highlights for fashion fans.

Mathematics Major Receives Top Graduate Student Award

Jake Reschke, who will graduate with a master’s degree in mathematics in May, will be recognized during Honors Convocation on Friday, May 20, as this year’s Nathan O. Freedman Outstanding Graduate Student — the highest honor presented to a CSUN graduate student who shows the best record of distinguished scholarship.

On May 11 and 12 students can head to the USU, East Conference Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for free snacks and beverages. From May 16 to 19, head to the USU, Plaza de Sol from 7:30 to 9 a.m. for free breakfast, beverages and exam supplies.
